FlyBase Curator comment: eIF-4B is stated to be the next gene proximal to CG42595 in FlyBase GBrowse (Release 5.29) and is therefore predicted to be deleted by Df(2R)247. The fact that this isn't the case is consistent with eIF-4B being incorrectly located to 2Rh in FlyBase - it's actually in 3Lh (see data on the CP000217 scaffold in FBrf0200204).

This deletion removes a single ribosomal protein-coding gene (though other genes are also removed).
