The diver element in AC004377 (P1 clone DS00837) has LTRs of 245 and 224bp matching exactly over the shorter length. It has one long open reading frame of 5224bp showing recognisable motifs corresponding to gag, protease, reverse transcriptase, RNase H and integrase. The protease and RNase H active sites are unusual (D-Q-G instead of D-S/T-G in the protease and D-G-S instead of the more usual D-A-S in RNase H).
