Structure
Protein 3D structure   (Predicted by AlphaFold)   (AlphaFold entry Q7KTW9)

If you don't see a structure in the viewer, refresh your browser.
Model Confidence:
  • Very high (pLDDT > 90)
  • Confident (90 > pLDDT > 70)
  • Low (70 > pLDDT > 50)
  • Very low (pLDDT < 50)

AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

          Relationship to Other Genes
          Source for database merge of

Source for merge of: AS asparagine-synthetase

          Additional comments

First exon of release 3.1 annotation CG32435-RB split into a distinct annotation, CG33486 (which corresponds to asparagine-synthetase), in release 3.2 of the genome annotation. Release 3.2 annotation CG32435 corresponds to chb.

'AS' ('Asparagine synthetase') was a non-sequenced localized gene associated with a single reference, an ADRC abstract (FBrf0101450). Gene Ontology analysis and ortholog analysis indicate that this corresponds to the annotated gene 'asparagine-synthetase' (CG33486).

          Nomenclature History
          Source for database identify of

Source for identity of: AsnS AS

          Nomenclature comments

This gene has been re-assigned the short symbol 'AsnS', rather than 'AS', as the former is consistent with HGNC nomenclature of the human ortholog, while the latter is easily confused with the unrelated 'as' gene.
