Description
The THO complex is a multisubunit complex with a conserved evolutionary function in transcription and mRNA export. In D.mel, its depletion affects the expression and export of a subset of transcripts. (Adapted from FBrf0179407).
Notes on Group

The THO COMPLEX (THO-C) is considered as a subcomplex of the TRANSCRIPTION EXPORT COMPLEX, and THO-C functions independently (FBrf0232947). tex has not been included in the THO-C gene group, as it copurifies with this complex in substoichiometric amounts and is described as a THO complex-interacting factor (FBrf0179407). The THO complex in human contains the orthologous subunit to tex, THOC3 (PMID:27679854).
