inner layer of the larval mushroom body |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00110202 (Fly Anatomy) |
Definition |
Inner layer of the third instar larval mushroom body, encompassing the pedunculus and lobes. It is surrounded by the outer layer. Part of the larval-born gamma type Kenyon cells are contained in this layer.[ FlyBase:FBrf0111409 FlyBase:FBrf0144836 ] |
Comment |
This layer was identified by staining with a FasII antibody. The inner layer is FasII-positive. At the second larval instar, the outer and inner layers are part of the same middle layer (Pauls et al., 2010; Kurusu et al., 2002). |
