Term |
embryonic peripheral glial cell 9 |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00110112 (Fly Anatomy) |
Definition |
Embryonic peripheral glial cell associated with the intersegmental nerve (ISN) laterally to ePG8. It develops from neuroblast 1-3 (von Hilchen et al., 2008) and gives rise to a wrapping glial cell (von Hilchen et al., 2013).[ FlyBase:FBrf0204826 FlyBase:FBrf0222452 ] |
Also Known As |
"ePG9" |
Comment |
The position of the cell body of ePG9 is somewhat variable: it is found at its position 92% of the time. It can also be found at the positions of ePG7 (2%) or ePG8 (6%). This analysis was done using specific cell markers and taking into account which nerve the cell is associated with (von Hilchen et al., 2008). |
