Definition A lobula plate intrinsic neuron that arborizes in lobula plate layers 2 to 4. It seems to be capable of both glutamatergic and GABAergic neurotransmission.[ FlyBase:FBrf0213690 FlyBase:FBrf0220286 ]

Comment The glutamate neurotransmitter was assessed by labelling cells with a vGlut[CNSIII]-GAL4 driver (FBti0129148) (Raghu and Borst, 2011). The GABA neurotransmitter was assessed by the intersection of the expression of the VGAT-GAL4 driver (FBtp0069181) and an antibody against GABA (Raghu et al., 2013).
