Term |
translobula plate neuron Tlp1 |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00003891 (Fly Anatomy) |
Definition |
Translobula plate neuron that terminates in lobula layer 5 with bleb-type terminals. It displays both fine and bleb-like extensive arborizations in lobula plate layers 1, 2 and 4, but only fine arborizations in lobula plate layer 3. It is a glutamatergic neuron (Raghu and Borst, 2011).[ FlyBase:FBrf0049410 FlyBase:FBrf0213690 ] |
Also Known As |
"Tlp1" ; "Tpl1" ; "translobula-plate neuron Tlp1" (for all, see Synonyms field below) |
Comment |
The neurotransmitter was assessed by labelling cells with a vGlut[CNSIII]-GAL4 driver (FBti0129148) (Raghu and Borst, 2011). Pre- versus postsynaptic innervation judged by scoring of terminal morphology from figures in Fischbach and Dittrich (1989) as assessed by FlyBrain Neuron DB. |
