Definition |
A synaptic neuropil domain containing dendrites of Kenyon cells and receiving sensory interneuron afferents, mainly from the antennal lobes (Ito et al., 2014; Saumweber et al., 2018). It is located on the posterior side of the brain, close to the cortex where the cell bodies of the Kenyon cells are located (Lee et al., 1999; Saumweber et al., 2018).
