Definition |
Neuroblast that delaminates at S1 and generates around 6 motorneurons and a cluster of local interneurons (Schmid et al., 1999). In the embryo, one of these cells can be found in each hemisegment from S2-A9 (Birkholz et al., 2013; Urbach et al., 2016). In the larva, it resumes proliferation in T1 to A1 segments (Lacin and Truman, 2016). Birkholz et al. (2015) suggest that NB3-2 generates postembryonic lineage 15 and NB4-2 generates postembryonic lineage 7, but Lacin and Truman (2016) provide lineage tracing and marker data showing that NB3-2 generates lineage 7. Lacin and Truman (2016) do not show data for neuromeres anterior to S3 (labial). |
