Term |
lateral intersegmental nerve root glial cell |
ID (Ontology) |
FBbt:00001306 (Fly Anatomy) |
Definition |
Intersegmental nerve root glia that is located near the exit point of the nerve root. It develops from neuroblast NB7-4 (Beckervordersandforth et al., 2008).[ FlyBase:FBrf0054242 FlyBase:FBrf0082171 FlyBase:FBrf0205499 FlyBase:FBrf0214261 ] |
Also Known As |
"intersegmental glial cell 2" ; "ISG2" ; "L-ISNG" |
Comment |
The lateral segmental nerve root glial cell and the lateral intersegmental nerve root glial cell lie in close proximity. In some animals one of these is absent. The lateral intersegmental nerve root glial cell corresponds to ISPG2 described by Klambt and Goodman (1991) (Ito et al., 1995). |
